Day 1: Keep it calm, not exciting
Your puppy has just left its litter, its mother, and everything familiar. Resist the urge to invite everyone over to meet them immediately. A quiet home, a designated sleeping spot, and access to water is all they need on day one.
Days 2-3: Establish a feeding routine
Stick to the same food your breeder was using — switching diets abruptly causes stomach upset. Feed at consistent times, 3-4 times a day for young puppies, and always have fresh water available.
Day 3-5: Schedule your first vet visit
